Toshiba laptop error message when booting

When I press the power button, the screen will turn to black with the cursor flashing in the lefthand corner - nothing happen after this

If I then press the 'enter' button, it wil display the Boot Menu

FDD
LAN

On all above, it will display <Enter BIOS Setup> and when I hit the enter button, it will display the particular option and says it 'failed'

Therefore I cannot get into the BIOS setup and the Laptop cannot startup

Have you tried any other Function keys to get into BIOS before that message takes over?

Delete, Escape or Function 2 are usual suspects worth trying. A vague memory tells me Toshiba might favour Function 1.
