Toshiba laptop ram upgrade problem.

Toshiba Equium A200-1V0 ram upgrade
Does anyone know how to bypass 2G maximum ram limit on Toshiba laptop.
Motherboard should cope with up to 12 G.
Apparently Toshiba can but at an extortionate price.

Hey, i had that motherboard in hp laptop and you cant bypass anything cause motherboard wont support more than 3GB ram. I could boot with 2x2GB but it would bsod afterwards and memtest unstable.
You can howerver boot and it works okay with 1x2gb and 1x1gb stick. One of the two slots supports up to 2gb you will soon realize which is it.

You can however upgrade cpu from your t2310 to t7500/t7800 or even t8300. All have TDP 35w. I had t7500 only problem would be with stock cooler temperatures around 70-80c under load but maximum for these chips is 100c so everyhthing ok.

I would actually recommend either t7800 or t8300. These however support 800mhz ram so you might need upgrade all 3 sticks to 800mhz models. Check compatibiltiy with google.

Well you can upgrade from 2gb to 3gb ram this is very easy if cpu is toi much work. What ram you have at the moment? Is it 533 or 800mhz ? You can check with cpu-z or look at ram sticks.
