Toshiba Satellite C55 wont turn on

My Toshiba Satellite won't turn on and I'm not sure as to why. The charge LED says its charging however when I press the power button, it turns on and then off multiple times before shutting down again. I've tried removing the battery and charger and holding the power button for 20 seconds and that didn't work. It was working 2 hours ago and now this. Any ideas?


Update- As it turns on and off it makes a clicking sound.

There can be numerous causes to this problem. If the screen doesn't turn on at all it could be a hardware problem. I'd try removing the battery and just trying to turn it on with the power cord connected, assuming your laptop can do this (some laptops can). If it refuses to turn on completely there might be a short on the motherboard and you'll have to replace it. Is it still under warranty?
