Toshiba satellite l505-10x

Hi,
satellite L505-10x is built up the display Adapter, but in the system. I can't see that display , also I can see in the system 2.96GB usable by 4GB from main memory. please explain. I remember that I bought with separate display 1GB. Thank you

Your english is somewhat hard to understand, but what I am getting is that you have a graphics processing unit, the display adapter, in there but the operating system cannot see it. You also said that the graphics processor has 1GB of RAM on it, but it is separate, or discrete. Without the exact hardware it is impossible to say for certain, but I think you have misread when you bought the computer, and it has an integrated graphics chip where the main RAM dedicates 1GB for graphics, which is why you only have just under 3GB of RAM.

sure you are installing 32 bit windows which only consumes 3 giga from you ram if you want to get benefit from all 4 giga ram you need to install 64 bit windows
