Toshiba Satellite L770 PART NUMBER does not exist.

I have a Toshiba Satellite L770, that I suspect the motherboard has died in. When looking for a new part, the laptop part number DOES NOT EXIST anywhere... at all...

The serial number doesn't help me either. How is it possible that Toshiba doesn't even have this machine documented?

The part number sometimes reflects subtle differences in memory/hard drive configuration, packaging, or retailer, or market - e.g. BestBuy would sell a model not available in Costco. I would search on model number (L770), not on part number.
