Toshiba Sattelite Boot Problems

Hello,
My computer will not boot into Windows. I believe the problem was caused by either a Firefox or Windows update. I only have a black screen with a cursor.

the cursor typically means it cannot load your OS from HDD

see if you can load into safemode (hit F8 during boot) you will be able to try system restore.

if safe mode doesn't work, either do a repair install of your OS or refer to your user manual whether there's a recovery partition that can be accessed on boot by hitting some key combination
