Toshiba Touch Screen

Toshiba Touch screen in laptop not working. Does not appear in device manager. Display OK, just not the touch function.

When you went into "Device Manager" did you... Select the "Monitors" section and right click on your monitor. Check the information for the touch screen and make sure it is "enabled"?

You might also want to go to the same area but instead choose "Update driver software" from the right-click menu.

Under monitor it just shows "Generic PnP Monitor". did the uninstall and scan for ardware changes and it just comes back as "Generic PnP Monitor"..

What type it shows isn't important. What is important is going to "Device Manager" as mentioned above and following those steps.

There is nothing showing enable or disable touch when in monitor in device manager.

There is no option for it when you right click on that monitor? That is really odd, it should be there. If the laptop is still under warranty, I would contact the manufacturer about it.
