Total Download Speed in Orbit Downloader Is Not More Than 20Kbps

If you are facing such issue, your first task should be to check if your Internet connection has higher bandwidth speed. If you are sure that you have high-speed Internet connection, you should then try downloading any other file without the Orbit Downloader support. If the file that you download without the Orbit Downloader is downloaded with the increased speed, there is surely some issue with the application itself.

Assuming that your copy of Microsoft Windows is working perfectly fine, your Internet connection is working well, and there is no obstruction between your Internet connection and the computer system, you are required to check if your instance of Orbit Downloader is configured properly.

The Orbit Downloader has a built-in feature that allows you to limit the total download speed. The feature has been integrated into program in order to prevent the additional consumption of Internet bandwidth that would otherwise occur due to accidental initialization of any file downloading process.

In your case, if you are not getting more than 20Kbps (or any other figure) download speed, the chances are that your instance of Orbit Downloader has been set not to exceed the said particular limit while downloading the files. There can be several reasons behind this kind of misconfiguration, such as any incompatible application or mishandling of the program by any novice user.

Whatsoever the case may be, you can resolve the issue and can reset your instance of Orbit Downloader application so it can start downloading the files with the maximum download speed that is available as per your Internet connection plan.

Here is what you need to do:

■Log on to the computer on which Orbit Downloader is installed.

■Initialize the Orbit Downloader program if it was not already started during the Windows boot process.

■Once initialized, right-click the Orbit Downloader icon in the system tray at the bottom right corner of the computer screen.

■From the displayed context menu, go to Preferences.
