Touch screen doesn't work except in spots

My touch screen stopped working yesterday and I reset my tablet to fix the problem but nothing works and it only works in spots!!!! I have to turn the tablet around and around to find a good spot!!!

I am a little confused what do you mean works only in good spots? Only in spots on the screen? or only in spots where the laptop is physically located?

I had an issue with my screen failing to register my touch...just needed to give it a thorough clean.
Hopefully that could do the trick?
Certainly worth a shot
