Touchpad doesn't allow clicking or tapping.

My laptop doesn't allow me to click or tap anything , unless i press down really hard, however I can scroll across the screen. I am quite fortunate that my laptop is a touch screen as well however I am heavily dependent on my touchpad for clicking. I've tried all sorts of things on the device management and even to the point where I've wiped my whole laptop and seen if that worked but nothing. My laptop is an Acer aspire switch 10 - e (processor: Intel(R) Atom(TM) CPU Z3735F @1.33GHz) System type: 32-bit operating system, x64-based processor. Windows 10.

Hi,

If it was a software issue it should have been resolved when you did a clean install of Windows. Do try to connect an external mouse and see if the same problem will persist because if it's not that means it's a hardware problem and in your case replacing the touchpad would be the solution.
