touchpad not working

my vaio touchpad keeps getting stuck. also my laptop is really slow.... i have restored my laptop to factory settings and didn't use any external download or program...yet the problem persists...please help...model E series vpceh25enwith windows 7 home basic(64-bit)

Did you download the driver for the touchpad from Sony's support site? Also what do you mean by "stuck"?

Sluggishness could be from a lot of things - but is most likely due to too much software that is cluttering your storage drive and that could be fragmented. It's possible the disk drive is on its last leg, as well.
