Touchpad ribbon connect hp probook 6455b zif connector broken help!

Hey guys, I am installing a new front panel on a hp probook 6455b and I've taken everything out and think i broke my zif connector, so it does not fall out after I install everything I am wondering if theres a way to tape it , glue it or anything else to make the ribbon stay connected. Also I forgot which way the ribbon is suppose to go in and have attached two pictures, I would appreciate any help on which way the ribbon goes and any suggestions for holding it in place since I broke the zif connector im assuming, you can tell by the pictures

and looks like you might have pulled off the little plastic retaining tab?

have a look around for it

Ok thank you , so the blue is looking at me as I plug it in, and I have a huge workspace where im at work currently working on about ten laptops what would the part look like, a white little plastic piece to snap it in? Would there be any way around this like glue or tape or anything before having to order the part ? If not what would the part be called so when I contact HP I know what to ask for /order? yes it probably will look similar to that

and never glued or taped one on

though guess its doable in an emergency as long as you get a good connection

itss probably called a retaining clip or something but dont actually know what HP name for it is though they would know what you meant i think
