Touchscreen Laptop with Windows 7

Hi there

Im thinking about getting an http://beforeitsnews.com/science-and-technology/2013/03/asus-vivobook-s550-15-inch-core-i5-windows-8-touchscreen-notebook-for-p36995-2561300.html for my GF, but she has this thing against Win8.
Would the touchscreen work if i install Win7 on it?
Or is that a win8-only thing.

As long as the manufacturer has Windows 7 drivers available for all the core components, I can't see where there would be any problems.

It doesn't look like they have Windows 7 drivers. Sometimes the Windows 8 drivers will work under 7 just fine, though. Windows 7 still supports touch functionality, but you may want to get in touch with Asus about driver support.
