Hi there,

I'm putting together some simple cover artwork for the Fifth Of RAP CD's,
and I'd like to include the track lengths there too. Does anyone those
running times on a text file anywhere that I could copy them from?

I could have sworn that there was downloadable artwork for every set,
but I don't see it on http://www.recaudiopro.net where you should find
the song times (as well as on the discs). Then again, I was pretty busy
around the time that volume 5 came out, so maybe there is no art..

I have checked the site, and there is no artwork, neither there was the song
times. I have a distinct image in my head that I've seen the song times
somewhere, in some text file somewhere...

Wow... sorry, you're correct. I even left the running time off of my own
liner notes.

Maybe you should 'ping' Lyle Caldwell, Harvey Gerst or Roger Norman
on this one. I don't see any of the artwork for past sets available, yet I
downloaded most of it at one time.

I believe this is the cover art. It's what I used.

Artwork exists, on the site the covernotes are on, Hoohah Records or
something. Google or msnsearch is your friend, ask again if you can't
find it, I think I did download both.

You might like to put it up somewhere and post a link Don. Many
newsreaders strip binaries (such as a jpg file), and this is "no binaries"
newsgroup.

I'll second that. I cannot download any image files from my
newsreader, unfortunately.

I checked the HooHaa record site, and there wasn't any cover art for
the 'Fifth Of RAP', only for the first four sets.

No it is not. Somewhere at hoohah records last time I looked for it. I
probably have it somewhere. See also (msnsearched for you):

Just to be helpful, I googled RAP and searched the website.

1) There is no artwork for any set on the website.
2) I didn't find any postings about cover art for RAP5 in RAP.
3) The only mention of artwork for the RAP5 CD's was Harvey's reference to
the pressing plant's PDF's of the CD cover art, but that is an FTP site
which requires a password.

If anyone needs them, I have the sleeve and tray card art for Bohemian RAP
CD and sleeve art for RAP 3 Times.

Oops. I only checked www.recaudiopro.net.

On www.hoohahrecords.com there is a complete set of art for the first three
RAP sets.

Still nothing on the RAP5 collection.

Hmm ... please send me the .pdf for CD1 in the Bohemian Rap set, the
file from http://hoohahrecords.com is truncated.

It really ought to be at least mirrored there.

Not complete, at least one .pdf file has a newer file date than the rest
of the set (bohemian) and is smaller and "not a valid file".

Nothing found indeed.

Geez, you guys got me into thinking about all the RAP CDs I've worked on and
so now, instead of being up in the new kitchen painting, I'm down here
listening to Fifth of RAP and actually wishing I was working on a new one.
And I don't even have to time to listen, much less actually spend the months
necessary to put one together, but believe me, if people will just buy out
what Harvey has left, maybe we could persuade him to put together another
compilation set. These things are so superb, such a cross-section of
techniques and equipment, not to mention musical content that it continues
to amaze me, and believe me, I've listened to this easily 100 times during
the compilation period.

BTW, Harvey, I believe I sent you Will's liner notes, yet I don't see them
on the site. Perhaps I should forward them to Lyle? I didn't realize until
just now that Lyle was still maintaining the site. Oh well, I guess I've
answered my own question. Never mind.
