Solved! Trouble shooting issue

So I have an issue, I built my first pc but when I turn it on no display, everything else is running the LEDs are on and the fans are spinning but no display.
I've connected it through HDMI to a Samsung TV
Specs biostar z270gtn mini ItX
Core i3 7100
8gb ddr4
PSU 550 Watts
1tb hdd
No gpu
Please help

Try borrowing a monitor and testing. The tv might not support low resolutions.

the i3-7100 come with Intel HD Graphics 630, and the motherboard supports integrated graphics, dependent upon the CPU.

Edit: you mention VGA specifically. i thought you were using the broad term and not the specific. Apologies mate.
 
When you use a TV as a monitor the order you boot the PC and select the input on the TV that it's connected to affects whether they "handshake".
Sometimes changing the input to another one and back works. Give it ten seconds for the desktop to display.
