Hello,
I'm a total noob, so my question might seem silly. Anyway, I got a a really powerful (1300 watt) amplifier, and it has two TRS inputs labeled Ch1 and Ch2. Now, I want to connect it to my ipod. What sort of cable should I use between the ipod and the amp. I have a 3.5mm stereo to Dual 1/4" mono (TS) Y cable. Would that work?

TRS= Tip Ring Sleeve or like we say in Belgium " a stereo jack, Tip = left, Ring = Right, Sleeve = earth. For your answer it don't gonna work, by a adapter 2 TRS 6.3 mm to a single 3.5 mm (M) all in stereo > not a mono adapter, regards

It should work. Be careful about the volume or gain settings on the iPod and on the amp if it has any. Start with the amp level all the way down and with the iPod level about 1/2 to 2/3 of full volume and adjust the amp level to where you would generally like the volume.

Hey, in this case TRS > Tip= + ( hot), Ring= - ( cold ), Sleeve= Earth_____For XLR > 2= Hot, 3 = Cold, 1 =Earth
