trying to install os

Hey Guys i am trying to install win xp on my old pc but when i set boot to dvd drive it will go to its pentium 4 extreme edition logo then go black, what can i do?

yes its a proper original disk

ok, insert the DVD into the primary DVD driver, turn off the computer and power back on. The DVD should boot automatically letting you know that you need to press enter if you want to install windows xp. If not then you can press multiple times the key that send you to boot order so you can choose from where to boot.

you can always try to enter BIOS and restore to default settings and try again with the DVD inside the driver.
