Turning down my Headset volume, Turns down ALL applications/programs volumes as well. How can I fix this?

So this just seemed to start happening today.

When I t urn my headset volume up and down, either in Volume Mixer, using the physical Volume control buttons on my headset's cable or via the software that comes with the headset, it turns down all volumes for all other programs. For instance, turn my headset turns down Chrome, OBS and Foobar.

I am a twitch streamer, normally I have OBS all the way up and Chrome as well, but I turn down my headset so the sound that I am hearing is lower than what the PC is putting out. This way OBS is picking up desktop audio at a reasonable level but it's not extremely loud in my ears.

I do not know how to fix this or why it happened.

I've tried rebooting and updating driver to no avail.

Make and model of your headset and your audio card? Are you working with the onboard sound card or a discrete sound card or a USb driven sound card? make sure you're on the latest BIOS update for your motherboard. Make sure your drivers are up to date.
