Turning off the touch pad

It drives me nuts! I have a mouse and dont need the touch pad. All it is doing is getting in my way when I am typing. My last laptop had a button right over it to turn it off. This one doesn't. Is there any way to turn it off?

Hi, on the function keys at the top of the keyboard, surely you have a key to enable/disable the touchpad.

Did you install the touch pad drivers associated with your laptop? I would get frustrated with this too because I would play CS:GO and my palm would constantly move my crosshair to the left. I haven't quite figured out how to configure it so it automatically disables when a mouse is connected, but for sure you can download the driver and disable it via mouse settings.
