Turntable Hum and RFI?

Hi all,

I've been having a strange issue with my stereo, where it is picking up RFI (radio interference) and also humming, but only out of one speaker. Disconnecting my turntable solves the issue. Most sources say to ground it, but even when grounded there is still an effect. Weirdly, the hum/RFI only comes out of the right speaker output from my amp. Anyone have any idea why this might be/how I can fix it?

One of the speakers in my home stereo seems to be pickup up AM radio signals. The other is not, so I doubt it is an amp/preamp issue. I've tried replacing the wire, and this only made it worse. I had the issue once before before moving and shuffling the speakers around the room seemed to fix the problem, so I never though much about it until I set them up at my new place. It's driving me insane, any idea what it might be?
I'm running an Audiolab 8000P Amp with an Audiolab 8000C Preamp, connected to Polk Audio R50 Speakers. Any help would be appreciated!

First thing is to find out where the radio signal is entering your system. You can't assume it's in the speaker wire for one speaker. By exchanging left and right starting with the speaker wire at the back of you amp you can pin it down.
Something like this

should help and can be used on interconnect as well as speaker wire.
There are audiophile solutions like these

Thanks for the reply! After playing around with things, the issue seems to be in my turntable as when it is disconnected there is no interference. Most how-tos are telling me to ground it, but there is still interference even when it is grounded to my preamp (which itself is grounded). Any idea what the issue might be?

If u know how to test for ground, I'd test both RCA jacks out of the turntable.
