Just bought a Turtle Beach Z22 - All works fine except for the microphone. I can hear it in my headset, and the amplifier works fine but the microphone isn't being registered on my custom PC. Tried it on another laptop and it works perfectly... kid of exhausted all solutions.

It's a "code 10" USB Composite Device error.

Code 10 typically refers to the inability to initialize the hardware. Did the headset come with drivers? If it did uninstall and then reinstall the drivers. It's often a corrupt installation.

Unfortunately the headset did not come with drivers and Turtle Beach does not offer any driver for the Z22 headset. I'm having this same issue with the Z22.

*Edit: I just fixed it by disabling xHCI in my motherboard's BIOS under peripherals.

I can confirm that disabling xHCI in your bios works, after reboot, your windows USB drivers will update and the x22 chat will reappear enabled. Thanks MrN1ce9uy saved me further headaches.

Do you not know how to access your motherboard's BIOS?
