Solved! TV signal lost after splitter connect

Cannot figure my coax cabling problem. I just installed a second tv in my bedroom and when I connect my coax to the splitter to go to the new tv my #1 tv goes blank and says no signal. I've tried different splitters same problem. I've got an amp installed before the splitter I've tried it before and after the splitter. Tv #1 works great until I hook up the coax going to tv #2. That's when it goes to no signal and goes blank. It's driving me nuts trying to resolve this issue. I know it's got to be something simple I'm overlooking.

Is it a digital broadcast? Ask your cable service provider.

Is TV#2 working?

Which splitter did you try exactly?

maybe a powered splitter might work

Problem solved. There was a problem with the new coax from the splitter to the new TV. Tempted a new coax from splitter to the new tv and problem was solved.
