TV will not change inputs

I recently acquired an AVOL AET32420N TV and used it for my gaming console. I found out that it would only work on a certain input as you could not change it. I accidentally changed the input from HDMI to Cable and I cannot change it back. I don't have the remote for this TV. If I cannot fix this I will have no choice but to scrap the TV. Are there any solutions or even just workarounds I can use? I got this TV for cheap but I want to save it. Any and all help appreciated.

Buy a universal remote and fix the input. Press the channel buttons on the tv, sometimes they cycle through the inputs, menu button on the tv and select input. If you changed it you can change it back.

Is there anything I should look for when getting a universal? I couldn't find the remote online that is supposed to go with this TV nor could I find much information about the manufacturer.

I was able to locate the menu shortcuts for this TV. Since there is no select option on the menu, you need to highlight the option and then press and hold VOL+ to select.

Yes that should work. Any $5.00 universal will also work.
