Hey everyone,

After years, and I mean YEARS, I finally scored the last
laserdisc boxed set of Twin Peaks season 2 and have been
busily archiving them to dvd-r direct from LD to disc via
s-video.

That's the complete season on 12 discs (last episode is
on a disc by itself), plus a a data cd of art scans from
the boxed sets so you can print fronts, backs or inserts
for cases, discs are available in ntsc/-r format ONLY.

So I'm just testing the waters to see how many people might
be wanting a set, taking pre-orders in a way I guess at is
it'll be the first part of June before I settle down to making
dups for people.

Write me direct if interested and let's talk, once I get
going I'll be making sets in the order I close deals with
people.

In Europe Paramount has put Season 2 on the release-schedule for fall 2004
as two seperate sets.
Also Australia will get Season 2 on DVD this fall.

(Paramount owns the rights of TP in europe/australia which also resulted in
the first season on DVD including the pilot.....).

So..... why settle for a LD copy (the ld's were picture quality-wise not
that good anyway) when a newly mastered DVD is underway.
Only major problem for US ..... you need a region-free and PAL->NTSC capable
DVD player.....

That would be your answer right there - I was aiming
to help out other like myself w/o a region free/PAL
layer and no desire to purchase one.

Still it could be worthwhile waiting for the region 2/4 to surface.....
probably easier to convert to NTSC, 5.1 sound , better picture quality ?

Each to their own, if no one wants them I'm happy
enough to have a set till the real deal comes out.

If the below was your aim, then you would be only charging for the blank
media???

I think your aim might actually be to make shitloads of cash from selling
copied discs?? ;)

CHEERS!

I am open to trades or payment to compensate
for cost of media, packing, shipping and a
couple bucks for my time. Not like someone
like PiperPost who wants something like $40
for a single tape with 2 episodes on it...

.... but since you seem inclined to make
assumptions and accusations without asking,
then what does that say about you?

Everyone who has responded to my posting with
interest whom I haven't found anything to trade
with has expressed the opinion my otherwise
requested cost, people local and from the UK
to Australia to Russia, is extremely reasonable.

Naturally if you're not intersted that's your
business.

Somehow I really don't think you're interested in
the disc set, more in just having something to
write about in the ng.

Youre' right...I'm not interested, but I think you are trying to rip people
off - which goes back to my first post.....you are interested only in making
some $$$ from your very expensive LD set.

Not trying to make a quick buck??? Then why not tell us how much you are
charging for the blanks and your "time"?

Given that its a 12 DVD set, and blanks cost $1.00 each tops (total $12.00)

......how much are you charging for your time? I bet you earn more than my
accountant :)

He already addressed this without giving an exact figure (and the figure
would change based on shipping/packing charges for the final destination)if
you would bother to read..

"I am open to trades or payment to compensate

couple bucks for my time. Not like someone
like PiperPost who wants something like $40
