if youre asking if its possible to have the laptops splitscreen the monitor the answer is you can't.
most monitors have more than one input, plug your other laptop into that input and you can switch witch laptop is displaying to the monitor. you may have to buy an adapter (VGA to DVI, or HDMI to DVI)

Use one of the other inputs on the monitor.
HDMI, maybe.

Of course, you can only select one at a time.

Here's my situation. I am using my Vizo TV as my Monitor with my laptop connected via HDMI. I would like to connect a second laptop, not necessarily to use the computer part, but just to have it as a third monitor. Is that possible?

No.
Having an HDMI IN (or any other monitor connection type) is very, very rare.
