[citation][nom]LATTEH[/nom]i wonder how many console gamers look at those screenshots and think it will look that good on there 360 (obivously not)[/citation]

If thise screenshots follow the others, then they are taken from the 360 build of the game.....

[citation][nom]Maxor127[/nom]People that complained about not being able to run the original are retards. It ran decent on my 8800 GTS system with nearly all extra high visuals. I could've gotten it to run even better if I lowered the visuals. And that's pretty much the issue. The game had a scalable graphics engine, but EVERYONE wanted to play the game with the highest graphic settings and bitched when their computer couldn't handle it, and they refused to lower their settings. If they didn't have an Extra High setting and the game just shipped with High as the maximum, people wouldn't have bitched.[/citation]

It ran just fine on a mixture of medium but mostly high settings on a 9500 GT with an AMD Athlon X2 5200+ @ 2.7 Ghz. Yeah, I've no idea why people complained so much.

Why all the negativity?! I LOVE CRYSIS, I love it so much. I cannot wait for this to come out. However, I can't in good conscience buy it for both the 360 and the PC. Once I get used to my PC's rendering, I'll never be able to play the console version. Same thing happened with Left for Dead 2.

It looks like they are making an attempt to keep the HUD from being a distraction, but based on the second screen shot in particular, it may be a bit too hard to read. I think you need to be able to glance at HUD info quickly, or just get the info from the corner of your eye.

I realize this is mostly a PC community, so I'm fully expecting to get negative for this, but whatever.

After playing the Halo Reach beta, I must say that being a Halo killer isn't going to happen. It needs some re-balancing for sure (I'm looking at you, Mr Frag "Nuke" Grenade), but that's one of the main reasons they had the beta. The core gameplay is amazing and incredibly refreshing.

I love Crysis, don't get me wrong, but Halo's not going down for at least another 3 years.

[citation][nom]scott_madison1[/nom]So your saying that the Halo franchise was done after the first one by your way of thinking? IMHO Halo 2 was better than the first, and The beta for Reach has been AWESOME![/citation]

At what point did I ever even mention Halo? All I meant was I don't want to see a new sequel every year, hence running the franchise into the ground.

lmao Marcus, Crysis is in no way a Halo killer. Halo is incredible because of its multiplayer and that's something that Crysis will never shine in.

If you thought the gameplay in Crysis was crap, then you also thought the gameplay in Farcry was crap, if you believe that then you know nothing about FPS's. Maybe the sandbox gameplay didn't appeal to all the corridor shooters out there but personally I thought Crysis had great gameplay although I will agree it got worse when the aliens were introduced. Without the aliens and with an improved storyline Crysis would have rivalled Half Life 2 for me, although they are two very, very different FPS's I admit. Anyway what Im trying to say is that Crysis was way more than a graphical showcase and anyway whats wrong with Crytek appealing to the enthusiasts? God knows theres enough game companys stilting the graphics of their games to appeal to console gamers and low-end system can't you just let us have Crysis without complaining?

If they're going to make a franchise out of Crysis and run it into the ground the same way Activision did with Call of Duty (come on the first two were soooooooo good) then at least don't tell us about it now!

I'm kind of already expecting Crysis 2 to suck because of this.. which shouldn't be the case. I will try to be fair and give it a chance, but I know others will surely judge it in advance.

Halo and Crysis have very little to do with one another... In my opinion they don't even compete with each other. I play Halo on console with my buddies. I play Crysis on my computer because it pushes my hardware and looks great.

I thought the original Crysis was good enough? If they make it ANYTHING like Halo, to "beat" it, I'm going to get upset.

I certainly want the old hud back. And why are Aliens now walking around? I thought they had floating exoskeleton suits to do that.

Because Crysis looks like crap when running at anything under high settings. It's nothing but a glorified benchmarking game.

For it to kill halo on the 360 it will have to be able to do 4 player split screen and online/system link play at the same time. Gears was a step in the right direction with 2 players, but almost all 360 LAN parties I go to play halo simply because you can do 4 people and system link them.

But I wanted to go back to the island! Seriously. I want to go back to the island, been waiting awhile to see an actual ending to that storyline.
