I just bought a used laptop with Windows 7. I was unable to adjust brightness using the keyboard nor using the software slider. It appears the brightness is stuck to medium/max brightness. I tried updating/reinstalling my video card drivers and monitor driver, to no avail. I installed Windows 10 and I am still unable to adjust screen brightness. "Enable Adaptive Brightness" in the power options is disabled, I still can't adjust the brightness. My laptop model is an MSI GE60 0ND. It comes with Intel HD Graphics 4000 and an Nvidia GTX 660M video card. Any ideas?

I checked the BIOS, there is no option there for anything to do with the display or brightness. I changed the Power Plan back and forth in Windows, I still can't adjust brightness. I tried installing the Win8 Intel chipset driver from the MSI support page, It says my system does not meet the hardware requirements for that driver. I tried installing the Win7 Intel chipset driver, it installed successfully but I still can't adjust brightness. Is there anything else I can do?
