Unable to install Direct X

Hi, whenever I am trying to install Direct X , I am getting this error : Link
Any help would be appreciated.


PS : I also posted this in another category but I was not getting any replies , so I thought I must have posted in the wrong category, hence I apologize.

direct x come with the OS system .

to clarify: if your OS is windows it will already have direct X. if your OS is a version of Linux you will have to install a program called WINE and direct x is not supported on mac OSX

I am on Windows 7 Ultimate x64.
Finally I installed Direct X . I just had to disable Kaspersky.
But why would antivirus prevent Direct X installation ?

Windows 7 would have direct x installed from the windows 7 DVD

What version of direct x were you installing and where did you get it from?
Normally you get updates from microsoft or on the driver disk of a graphics card

Maybe kaspersky AV thought it was infected with malware and maybe it was

I downloaded DX from MS' site.
