How do I unlock my Blueray BDP BX2 to play all regions ?

The firmware can be changed or updated
you will need to contact sony support, but I am pretty sure some are made to work for USA and Canada only.

well not even that soundguruman ...

the BDPs in general are made only to work in region 1 for DVD's and for region Aor region 1 for Bluray, there is no way to change that as far as I know of

and the firmware update at that web site tell you a lot of options to make the update of your unit, disc or internet connection
