unlock cf cards

Purchased a Promaster 64 Gb CF card for my Canon 7d MkII the camera says its write protected. There are no switches or obvious ways to unprotect the card. Any ideas?

CF cards are not lockable. So it is probably just not formatted. Try formatting in your camera. OR try formatting in your card reader, and then format in your camera.

Did you perhaps get an SD card? Those are lockable.
