Unlocking tab using different sim

I have a cricket phone.(Android)
I have a zte 88v2. Tablet (Android)

My goal is to take the sim card from phone and insert into my tablet.
PS the maker is zte. It was made for A&T

Last night I seated sim into tablet< result.... Nothing happened.

If I may ask, Can get a step by step instruction to unlocking my tablet

Unlocking here means: being able to use my cricket sim with my zte-at&t tablet.

I have a great data plan w cricket.
The tablets main purpose been wifi.
It came with no sim.

If at&t locked the tablet, contact at&t to unlock it.
