Solved! UNMOUNTABLE BOOT VOLUME

Hi. I received the blue screen of death that read "UNMOUNTABLE BOOT VOLUME."

I understand that if I were to insert the Windows XP disk into my CD Rom, I may be able to fix the problem. The problem is my CD Rom doesn't work.

I would like to know if I can use a usb port to load the softwear by either using my external cd rom or flash drive?

On some laptops, you can. Check if your BIOS supports USB boot by looking the boot order menu.
