Its been about 2-3 months since my built my new computer for hosting some VMs and for running some resource heavy applications. A couple of weeks ago I've noticed that I have an unnamed process in my task manager which is always suspended (or at least it shows up as suspended when I view it in task manager). I've tried digging a little to see what the process is and what it is interacting with by running Comodo Killswitch (See Image 1) but it has no affinity with any other applications. I've also ran offline root-kit scans and full computer scans which came out clean... well almost (see below).

I do recall my Sophos alerting me to having "InstallCore" adware which I would remove whenever it showed up as a PUA. Another possible symptom was that my Office and Adobe programs stopped working for a couple of weeks and when I decided to nuke and reimage my hdds, I checked and they started working. Also, something I noticed while trying to open the PNG file I took of the attached screenshot - when trying to open it I got an error saying the following: "Invalid value for registry". Based on that, I looked at process for registry on Killswitch and the rating was "Error (Not Found)" and same goes for the process called "Memory Compression" (See image 2).

I've done some research, most or all posts lead to some sort of OS degradation or possible malware. I don't think its malware or anything since my computer has Sophos Home Premium but can't be too sure.

Used the adware cleaner. 0 results. I still ran the basic clean up.
I feel like this entire thing may have been caused by some sort of corruption to registry.
