Updating Android & Flash

For Chritmass I got a samsung galaxy (mini I think) Its on the tesco network. The only complaints I have are that I am unable to update my phone from version 2.2.1 of android and I am also unable to install flash. I have tried to install flash several times I have downloaded the 10.1 and 10.3 versions for android, but when I try to install them it loads for a few seconds and then tells me that the application was not istalled. How should I go about both these problems? The android version one doesnt bother me so much but the flash proble is really getting on my nerves.

Really sorry to bust your day but Im afraid that your phone does not support flash (officially). You can get it to run however if you follow this guide but It might be buggy as hell.

or...

root your phone
install a compatible rom with 2.3 android
install flash

and be on your way..

romming is such a nice thing is it not
