Upgrade for MacBook Pro mid 2009 (2gb RAM)

Hey guys,

I need to upgrade my MacBook pro mid 2009 RAM.

Currently I have 2GB 1067 MHz DDR3. Both slots having 1GB each.

My query is, can I upgrade only one slot to 4GB with 4+1=5GB RAM or 4+0=4GB RAM?

Will it work?

Or will I have to go for both slots having same GB RAM?

you did not state what screen size your pro is but the 13", 15" & 17" can go to 8gigs of ram.

Also plz tell if a 1333MHz 9-9-9-x RAM will be compatible with MacBook Pro 13'' Mid 2009? Someone said it will but better to confirm here. Does the motherboard support 1333MHz?

crucial only shows ddr3 1066 ram for your mac.
