Upgraded ram now internet is down

I just upgraded the RAM on my dell d610 laptop. when I restarted everything seemed fine. It even says that I'm connected to my wifi network with GREAT QUALITY. When I go to go online every webpage says "not connected" or address not typed correctly. I tried disconnecting and reconnecting from wifi...tried reboot...it was working fine before I replaced ram.....????????

Try putting old ram back in and try again...which will show you IF its the ram....

You DID PUT IN THE SAME SPEED ram of course ?

well.....not exactly. the laptop had 1 gig of ram total, it now has 1.5 gig of ram (I replaced one of the 512 mb with 1 gig). the wierd thing is I did the same exact thing to my other SAME exact laptop...and it's fine...so I'm assuming it's the ram.....I'll try switching it back and see if that works...if it does, I'm assuming i got a bad "stick"??

If you had a bad stick then you would get random application errors and blue screens. Everything working except for WiFi has nothing to do with memory.

I meant SPEED not quantity...what speed is it ? 2100, 2700 etc etc ?
