Usb c not outputting video

Usb c to displayport stopped working on laptop (envy 13 ad0100nd) the dongle itself works but my laptop isn't sending video through. I get an error message something about displayport might be limited. The only change i made was that i updated the BIOS and windows 10 (1803 now). I've tried updating the drivers as well. What can i do?

The eny's usb c is not a thunderbolt 3 usb-c so it won't give you video out.

Same here. USB-C external monitor was working until windows 10 update
