USB headphones a bad choice?

Hi, I wanted to buy the Logitech USB Clear Chat Pro USB headphones but my friend said that they can't use advanced audio input apart from what their plug-and-play USB drivers have (which is most probably just regular stereo). I just wanted a second opinion on that 😀

Is this really true?

I'd tend not to go with USB headphones whenever possible - you won't be able to use the features of your soundcard with them at all. It might not be just plug and play, but even in the best case, you are limited to whatever drivers and such are included with the headphones, rather than the full functionality of the system sound.

Thanks man, too bad when I wanted to change my ordered I found out it was already on its way. Sigh 🙁
