USB Microphone no longer picks up audio

Solution
Someone had the same problem before but they miss out the new Windows Update permissions for the microphone so try going to the settings > privacy and go to the Microphone section and try turning on Also the "allows apps to use microphone" under the 1st microphone access option for device.. so basically just try to turn BOTH permissions on and see if that works.

Your mic is USB driven so I'd ask you to uninstall and reinstall your chipset/USB drivers. Also make sure that your system is on the latest BIOS update.

How about you share your full system's specs with us like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:

That would shed some more light on the matter.

On second thoughts, you can try a repair install.

Does the microphone have a volume knob or an on/off switch?

Install Audacity https://www.audacityteam.org/download/
Does your Blue Ice mic show up in the microphone dropdown? If so, hit record and see if it records audio.

Worked... before the update, this permission settings wasn't even needed so I skipped the second permission -.- Thank you all for replying though!
