I am using an Opolar LC05 Laptop Cooler with Vacuum Fan and Kootek Laptop Cooling Pad to keep my laptop cool enough for CPU intensive work that would otherwise overheat my laptop.

They do this admirably, but they take a lot of power to operate. I already learned the hard way that I cannot plug them into my laptop's native USB ports without burning them out.

I have been using the cheapest USB to AC power adapter I can find and just replacing them as they burn out, but I would much prefer just getting one USB to AC adapter that can handle the current. BUT, I don't want to invest money in a better USB adapter unless I can be sure that it is up to the task.

So: Anybody here able to recommend a USB adapter that can handle those two external cooling devices 100% without burning out? I can run the Oplar through the Kootek, so it only needs one port.

Well, if you get one from amazon and it burns out, get a refund, they'll pay for postage if they want it returning. Buying no-name unbranded ones is similar to giving a hand grenade to a cat, one day it'll pull the pin out. One day one of them won't fail nicely, or will fail when you are not there.

And some idea of the current draw for the devices would be nice.

I thought everything with a CE mark or other standards required power requirements on a label?
