I have been using this mouse for about half a year and i haven't had a problem with it, until this morning i turned on my computer and the optical light doesn't turn on, but all the buttons work, and the laptop touchpad works too. I've tried plugging in another mouse, tried all the usb ports, uninstalling and reinstalling all the mouse related drivers, resetting my laptop with settings and stuff kept.

Laptop: CyberPowerPC July 4th Tracer II 15 GTX 1070

Solution
Does anything else work in the USB ports? If not, try this...

1. Go to "Control Panel" and then "Device Manager".
2. Expand the "Universal Serial Bus controllers" section.
3. Double-click on the "USB Root Hub device".
4. Now click the "Power Management" tab.
5. Uncheck the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" option.
6. Click the "OK" button.

NOTE: If there is more than one "USB Root Hub device" listed, Then you will have to repeat this steps for each one of them.

7. Restart the computer and all the ports should work now.

I actually forgot to mention I tried this method too. For some reason after hours of research, my ports now read the mouse correctly, and everything is fine so far.
