using a DVD player or Home Cinema with projector

I am trying to set up my own small home cinematheque. I already have an Epson projector with HDMI, but I am looking for a compatible DVD player that is multi-regional and also HDMI compatible. Which is the best available? Or, could I set this up with a Home Theater DVD set-up which would work with the projector? Thank you for your attention.

I would suggest a multi region Blue ray such as this one:

It will make your DVDs look better than a DVD player could. It is better to get a separate disc player as they tend to break before the rest of a surround sound system. Get a surround system with HDMI switching it makes connections easier too especially on a projector which may only have one or two HDMI inputs.
