Using digital antenna without HDTV

I have cable, but NOT HDTV. Can I still use the new digital antennas?

Yes you can. Just pick one that has a non-HD output.

It depends on how old the TV is. If it does not have a digital channel tuner (ATSC tuner) -- https/en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ATSC_tuner then you may not get any channels.

maybe, you will need to lookup the make and model of your TV to see if it has a digital tuner

If it doesn't have an ATSC tuner built in then you will need a digital converter box and an antenna. Unless there are some channels that your cable provider doesn't have or you want to cut the cord you don't really need over the air TV.
