Using laptop as a monitor for home theater system

I have a Dell studio 15 laptop with an hdmi connection and a samsung blu-ray home theater system with hdmi and I wanna use the laptop as a monitor for now to watch movies on from the home theater system how can I connect these two and actually see a picture on the laptop?

Your laptop has an HDMI output not an input so it won't work. You could get an outboard Bluray drive and connect it to the laptop via USB.
