Using System Restore on New HDD

I've never used a System Restore CD. I had to buy a new HDD for my PC. Will the PC recognize the System Restore CD drive to boot up? Will Windows then transfer to the new HDD?

In theory yes it should work just fine as long as you got the correct HDD and the correct Recovery disc for your PC or laptop. Depending on the brand of the PC or laptop you can always get the complete guide from their support site or from Youtube on how to run that System Recovery disc.

Depends on the disk imager you used. So while it should work, if the hard drive is a different make, size, and model there's a chance it might not work.

I use Drive Cloner and I know there's no issues with that; Acronis True Image should work just fine as well.
