OTA are nonsense and full of bugs. I'm never gonna recieve an OTA update on my phone but yet I've been running ICS since November. It's rediculous. Something needs to be done about this shiz.

I've been waiting for 3 months now, why does it take so long!

+1 to sporkimus. DrInc2 is a non 4G device, and apparently is getting upgraded early, as is the Rhyme, which also is not 4G. That's a couple non-4G phones to be found.

I am thrilled to see the Thunderbolt on the list as it has been treated like the red-headed stepchild by Verizon and HTC lately

The HTC EVO was a flag ship phone and now its not worth updates like this...... I am just going to get a 5 inch tablet and use skype.

Actually I find OTA releases to be the most stable and support all the features. I've probably loaded 50 roms to my Thunderbolt, and wifi tethering has always been a wash. It works, but at like 3G speeds tops. Lots of connection dropping etc etc. Just totally unreliable. I grab an OTA leak without all the bloatware, and get 30mbps download through wifi tethering.

Nice.. These phones will probably not get Android 4.0 until the end of 2012.. By then 5.0 will have been out a few months and they will likely never get that upgrade..

My thunderbolt is rooted and rommed with BAMF Forever. I actually don't know if I can go back to stock to get the OTA update or not, but I prefer my phone being rooted anyway - so I just hope those fantastic guys (and probably gals) at XDA can take this OTA update and create a custom rom out of it for me. Can't wait to try ICS (and have it without any verizon bloatware).

when should i expect my bloatware upgrade? from what i have read, i think the new ICS has a function to freeze apps you don't want to use. Is that wright?

Returning to stock is pretty simple, search XDA for one of the RUU's that are ripped in put into a zip for flashing via hboot/fastboot. Some phones are a little more involved than this but the majority are pretty simple to go back.
