[citation][nom]coolvoodoo[/nom]iPhones are great consumer devices, but I am not a fan of Apple's "can't open the hood" design philosophy and their efforts to copyright everything in the world. I want to get a Droid, but the lack of voice dialing in the Android OS is stopping me cold. Any word on this development?[/citation]
Ummm, might wanna check out the voice dialer built in. I have it on my Droid, with a shortcut right on the main screen, never used it though.
[citation][nom]blackened144[/nom]Pot, meet Kettle. I always find it funny when someone gets bashed as being an Apple "fanboi" for even mentioning that an Apple product might not be total shit, yet is perfectly fine when bashing Apple absolutely no matter the case. The iphone4 could have a 5in screen, with 1920x1080 resolution, an overclocked i7 processor, 1tb of storage space, with a battery that lasts 5 years on one charge, use its current form factor, be completely free, and you all would still talk smack about it and try to convince people the Evo4G is better.[/citation]
Now, if Motorola, HTC, Samsung, Sony, or any other manufacturer were to make the device you have described, the same army of rabidly stupid aplle fanbois would still be chanting osxier's 1st post in this thread. Hell, aplle can't even put a Core i7 into their desktop, so let's stop fantasizing :0 Mind you, all this aplle-bashing started when one person who is blindly stupid made a stupid post. About your comment about the Droid 2 being roughly equal to the 3GS, maybe you should do some research. At least my phone (Droid A855) doesn't crap out when I'm more than 25 feet away from the router.
[citation][nom]drakenviator[/nom]Motoblur? Why ruin the Android OS with THAT?! Sorry, but maybe it's because I don't have 20 twitter accounts, or three facebooks, a myspace and a thousand rss feeds, but from what I've seen of the Motoblur user interface, it's not really worth having compared to the standard Android UI.[/citation]
If you hate motoblur, root yer phone
I am REALLY happy with vanilla Android inteface though, I get your point 100%. Looks a lot like Gnome.
To all those folk crying foul of the 750 MHz OMAP CPU VS 1 GHz Snapdragon, this is a question of "Do you want an FX-57 at 2.8 GHz, or a P4 at 3.8 GHz"? We would all (hopefully) choose the FX-57 despite lacking an entire GHz.
