I have my old game cube and was wanting to hook it up to my computer monitor to play it. I know I can get a dvi to rca adaptor, but my monitor does not have speakers built in. My monitor has both vga and dvi. So for audio I was wondering if it was possible to use a vga to aux for fix this problem? Or maybe is there a way to take the red audio cable and use a different adapter so it could plug into a speaker?

Don't think you can do that as VGA can't transfer audio. It's a display only medium.

What you could do is get the VA adapter to RCA. Then buy something like a rca to aux. Plug yellow cord into monitor, then this adapter into red and white. Then the new AUX into your speakers.
