Solved! VGA to Monitor not working

I have a Inspiron2200 witha VGA outpu. I plugged a vga cable from that into a American Dynamics Monitor- I used for my other desktop- It worked on the desktop but not my lap top- Any one have any ideas. I updated drivers and nothing.

Either your VGA not working or your VGA cable isn't working...
