VGA to RCA

Hello everybody , im new here in this forum but i have one problem with my TV and PC , last week i bought one cable that convert or I think that that cable conver VGA on my Laptop to RCA on my TV, but it does not work , my laptop has VGA female and my TV has two components Video and Audio for this its not a problem coz i just want to show my display of laptop on my TV but it does not show nothing.
My answer is how to install or how to fix this which then i can watch from my laptop to my TV using this converter VGA to RCA.

Does it work or do i need to buy another converter.

A cable does not work.
